16" A CUSTOM CRASH
17" A CUSTOM CRASH
Description
The Zildjian A Custom crash cymbal is a revolutionary instrument for drummers seeking a sophisticated yet versatile sound. The A Custom crash utilizes radical rotary hammering techniques and a thin weight to produce crisp, sweet tones with dark overtones. Its large size provides ample crash power and sustain. Developed with legendary drummer Vinnie Colaiuta, the A Custom Crash has a natural, full-bodied sound that cuts through mixes. The brilliant finish gives an eye-catching gleam under stage lights. And it comes in a variety of sizes: 14", 15", 16", 17", 18", 19" or 20"
Rotary Hammering Releases Musical Complexity
The A Custom Crash's radical rotary hammering method manipulates the bronze material to optimize tonal qualities. Hammering thins hardens the cymbal in strategic areas, enabling a wider range of overtones and a musical crash with shimmering highs and a throaty low end. The result is a sophisticated sound with dark, complex overtones that lingers.
Thin Weight Provides Immediate Response
Weighing in at a thin gauge, the A Custom delivers an immediate crash response with a fast build-up and decay. The thin bronze material is highly sensitive and reactive, allowing drummers to achieve crashing effects based on playing technique. From swift crashes to drawn-out splashes, the A Custom crash readily produces the sound drummers want.
Brilliant Finish Radiates Under Lights
The brilliant finish gives the A Custom crash a lustrous gleam that dazzles on stage. When under spotlights, the cymbal radiates and shimmers, complementing its sophisticated sound. The brilliant finish also helps produce crisp, articulate tones from the cymbal.
Versatile Enough for Any Genre
With its balanced, full-bodied sound and musical complexity, the A Custom crash works well in any genre from rock to jazz to electronic music. Drummers can achieve a range of sounds with varied striking techniques and implement the crash creatively within drum parts. Available at Guitar Center, the A Custom Crash truly delivers versatility and inspiration.
