Description

When you need to hear every detail in your mix, your headphones have to be revealing. The beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO X open-back studio headphones build on the DT 990 PRO design with modern updates including the STELLAR.45 driver, detachable cabling and improved comfort for today’s workflows. With a wide 5Hz–40kHz frequency response, open-back design and 48-ohm impedance, they deliver detailed, transparent sound across studio interfaces, laptops and mobile devices. Designed for critical listening and precise editing, these headphones provide the clarity, spatial depth and flexibility required for modern production environments.

STELLAR.45 Driver With Open, Detailed Response

At the core of the DT 990 PRO X headphones is the STELLAR.45 driver, engineered for high-resolution audio with low distortion and strong dynamic response. Its design combines a neodymium magnet and precision voice coil to produce controlled low end, clear mids and extended high-frequency detail. A natural treble lift helps reveal subtle imperfections, such as noise, clipping and phase issues, making them well suited for editing and mix evaluation. Whether used alongside studio monitors or independently, they provide a consistent reference for critical listening tasks.

Detachable Cable System for Flexible Workflows

The DT 990 PRO X headphones are designed to integrate across a range of studio and mobile setups. A detachable, single-sided cable with a locking mini-XLR connector ensures a secure connection while allowing easy replacement or customization. The included 3.5 mm plug and 1/4" adapter support compatibility with audio interfaces, mixers, laptops and portable devices, helping maintain a consistent monitoring experience across different systems.

Open-Back Comfort With Durable Construction

Designed for extended sessions, the DT 990 PRO X headphones feature soft velour ear pads and a redesigned headband that distributes pressure evenly for a stable, comfortable fit. The open-back design contributes to a more natural listening experience over time, helping reduce fatigue during critical work. A spring steel headband and durable construction support long-term use, while replaceable components extend product lifespan. Made in Germany, DT 990 PRO X headphones are built for consistent performance in professional environments.
