The 1964 Fender Bass VI is one of the most distinctive and collectible instruments Fender produced during the golden era of the early 1960s. Finished in a classic 2-Tone Sunburst, this six-string electric bass combines the familiar offset styling of Fender's Jaguar and Jazzmaster family with a short 30-inch scale and a unique electronics layout, creating an instrument that sits somewhere between a conventional bass and an unusually low-register guitar. The 2-Tone Sunburst finish gives the instrument its unmistakable early-Fender appearance, with the classic sunburst accentuating the Bass VI's sculpted offset body.
