Released four months after his death from liver cancer in 2017, Gregg Allman recorded Southern Blood at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama with super producer Don Was. The album starts with the lone Allman original "Only True Friend," and takes you on an emotional journey of nine cover songs penned by great American songwriters like Tim Buckley, Bob Dylan, Jerry Garcia, Willie Dixon and more, closing out with a song cowritten and featuring Jackson Browne ("Song for Adam"). This is a must-have for anyone who loved Allman and who love great American songwriting. This limited-edition vinyl includes two live bonus tracks.
