This thing is truly a solid tool in the arsenal for a gigging musician; the sound quality is superb, and it has plenty of processing power needed to run NAM A2 models. The built inn effects are solid and the autotune is a fun bonus to have.
Native NAM A2 Update Game Changer

byMatt
fromRancho Cucamonga
As of August 1, 2026, this amp modeler became a game changer. Its one the lesser expensive guitar modelers that can run NAM A2 and light natively, without a third party device. Making this and other units of Headrush, other than the Mx5, a steal for the price. Most other brand modelers are upwards of $1k, but they don't run NAM native. This does now and it runs it flawlessly. Plus it has a tuner, looper, drum machine, vocalist effects with antares auto-tune and a built in mic pre-amp. Functions as an Audio Interface for the computer, can run via wi-fi or cable connection, it has 6gigs of memory storage and plenty of DSP processing power to run heavy amp and pedal setups. The 7 inch touch screen is better than any other modeler and the user interface makes it easy and fun to build rigs. The cloud feature gives you access to everything that Tone3000 has in its open source website, it has global EQ to shape your tone, as well as EQ pedals for the rigs and so much more. I traded in 30 pedals that weighed 40lbs total and had so many pedal chain connections, that anytime I'd have a minor cable issue, I'd have to tear it down and find the loose or bad cable. This pedals fixes that by giving you a rig that you can customize from within the unit, no more cables, no more daisy chains, no more patching. All in one device, better than al the rest. Worthy every penny.

Bass player and a vocalist and this thing is just impressive. Everything you need to set up a good pedal board. I love that I can run my bass and a mic through this at the same time. Love that they give firmware updates. Tells me they care about their buyers. Would buy again!
When you'd rather jam than program - Headrush!

I've had my Headrush Core for over a year now and it just keeps getting better! The v5.0 firmware update added a full-featured drum machine to the Core which is simply awesome for jamming and composing song ideas. This thing does everything and does it all extremely well! The amazing part is that it's so intuitive and easy to use. I've owned several multi-effect units and modeling amps over the years from Boss, Fender, Digitech, etc. Ease of use was always the downfall for setting up rigs and presets. I want to play guitar and create - I don't want to burn hours programming and editing patches. The Core frees me up from the programming burden. The graphic representations, touch screen and ease of editing effects and building rigs is what guitar players are used to dealing with. I no longer dread setting up a user preset! Sound quality of the models is on par with all of the competition. Rugged build quality (steel chassis) that I would take on the road with no concerns. All of the interface connections I would ever want for stage or studio. Can't recommend it highly enough, it's the Swiss Army knife of multi-effect processors!
Easy to use, does all the things.

This has become my main rig. Like any rig in a box modeler there is still some menu diving, but nowhere near as much as a helix or GT1000 (I own/ have owned both). Works fantastic through my orange Rockerverb with the 4 cable method, or going direct to front of house. The touchscreen can be a bit finicky for double-taps, but the encoder knob works great.

Can I use the Headrush Core with a real guitar amplifier using the 4 Cable method like most other multi effects units?
I’m very sorry. Your question is not clear. The HeadRush Core does have 2 mono and 2 XLR outputs. I don't know of any guitar amp that will accept 4 inputs.submitted3 years ago
