Description
From dual presenters and theatrical performers to two-instrument wireless rigs, professional productions need flexible body-pack systems that remain clear, secure and dependable as RF conditions change. The Audio-Technica ATW-D50-DRX-2B 2-channel wireless system combines a LINK-enabled ATW-DR3220LK dual-channel receiver with two compact ATW-DT3201 body-pack transmitters, creating a versatile platform for compatible lavalier microphones, headworn microphones and instrument cables. Operating across the 470.125–607.875MHz UHF range, the system delivers 48kHz digital audio, up to 120dB of dynamic range and AES-256 encryption with an operating range up to 328'. Switchable RF modes, High Density operation, network connectivity and rechargeable transmitters provide the flexibility required for theaters, houses of worship, corporate AV, live production and other demanding multi-user wireless applications.
Flexible RF Modes Adapt to Challenging Environments
The half-rack ATW-DR3220LK receiver offers two selectable RF operating modes to match the demands of each deployment. Normal mode uses Antenna Combining Diversity for efficient everyday operation, while Robust mode employs MRC True Diversity for increased RF stability in more challenging environments. Standard operation supports up to 17 frequencies within a 6MHz TV channel with typical latency of 2.1 ms, while High Density mode expands capacity to as many as 47 frequencies in the same bandwidth with 3.3 ms typical latency. Up to four receivers can also be linked and operated from a single pair of antennas without requiring a separate antenna distribution system, simplifying higher-channel-count installations.
Dual Body-Packs Support Flexible Hands-Free Applications
Two ATW-DT3201 body-pack transmitters give the system the flexibility to handle two compatible lavalier microphones, headworn microphones, instrument cables or a combination suited to the production. Each compact metal transmitter features a secure cH-style screw-down 4-pin input connector, external controls and an OLED display for convenient operation, while IR synchronization streamlines pairing with the receiver. SideTrack functionality allows audio to be switched to a second output for discreet communication with fellow performers or audio engineers, and a 120Hz high-pass filter helps control unwanted low-frequency information at the source. Microphones are not included, allowing users to select compatible models specifically suited to their application.
LINK Networking Simplifies Professional System Management
Audio-Technica LINK connectivity and 100 Mbps IP control make the ATW-DR3220LK well suited to sophisticated installed and production environments, while onboard DSP provides high-pass filtering, four-band EQ and compression directly within the receiver. Power can come from the included AC adapter or IEEE 802.3at Class 4 PoE+, with PoE+ also available as a redundant backup source. BNC antenna connections, antenna power and rackmount capability allow the receiver to integrate cleanly into portable systems, equipment racks and permanent installations.
Rechargeable Body-Packs Keep Long Productions Moving
Each ATW-DT3201 uses a custom LI-220 rechargeable lithium-ion battery with 2,200mAh capacity, providing up to approximately 12 hours of operation at 10mW for extended performances, presentations and production days. The batteries can be charged while installed in the transmitters with the optional ATW-CHG6 two-bay charging station or removed and charged separately with the included ATW-CHGA6 external battery charger. Selectable 1, 10 and 20mW RF output in Standard mode provides additional flexibility for different deployments, while High Density mode operates at 1mW for efficient high-channel-count coordination.
Built to Scale With Professional Wireless Systems
Complete with two ATW-DT3201 transmitters, two rechargeable LI-220 batteries, the ATW-CHGA6 external battery charger, receiver antennas, AC adapter and rackmount hardware, the Audio-Technica ATW-D50-DRX-2B 2-channel digital wireless system provides a coordinated foundation for two-channel body-pack wireless operation. Its combination of adaptable RF performance, secure digital transmission, flexible microphone and instrument compatibility, network control and scalable receiver linking supports straightforward two-user setups while allowing integration into larger D50 wireless deployments as production requirements grow.
